0 is an interactive Arduino-based work exploring anxiety and mediated communication.
The project invites participants to pick up a phone, initiating a live connection to an unknown individual elsewhere in the country. Each interaction is unpredictable, shaped entirely by who answers, placing the participant in a situation of immediate and uncertain social exchange.
By translating personal experiences of social anxiety into a participatory system, the work examines the tension between connection and discomfort, where technology both enables communication and intensifies vulnerability.
