The Death Of Polaroid
This photographic project emerged from a strong emotional reaction to the potential closure of Polaroid, whose instant film processes had become closely tied to the artist’s developing creative identity.
Confronted with the possible disappearance of the medium, the work began to explore forms of attachment directed toward technological objects rather than people. Through image-making and reflection, the project examined how creative tools can become sites of projection, investment, and loss.
The experience prompted a broader investigation into mediated relationships and the ways emotional responses can be shaped by systems of production, consumption, and technological dependence.
