Viva La Xerox
This early photographic project emerged from a period of uncertainty and personal transition, documenting a journey without a defined destination. The work reflects an attempt to move beyond familiar environments and identities through the act of image-making.
During the process, the photographs were transmitted through a fax machine, introducing distortion, fragmentation, and loss of detail. This intervention shifted the images from straightforward documentation toward mediated artefacts shaped by technological translation.
Through this process, the project began to explore themes that continue to inform Florish’s practice, including communication breakdown, displacement, and the transformation of
